well if they hold mine I am keeping their loaner car.
Yes at least this time I have a loaner F150. Pretty impressed with the ten speed in this F150. Don't know why people say it hunts. Maybe only when towing? Will put some miles on it for them. Anyone need anything hauled? I'm willing to drive anywhere, just pay for gas.......
Not making fun of anyone because I realize it can be frustrating to have a new truck act up it strange ways. Issues like this make me perfectly content to stick with my '65 and my 2002 which don't have features like electric tailgates. I can see why Ford wants to add new features but somethings should be left alone..like a plain old simple tailgate.
I'm happy to have a manual tailgate on my '18, saves me the hassle of another trip to the dealer!
Maybe the "new switch and harness" has also been part of the hold up on '20s shipping. I have one ordered thats suppose to be delivered around Christmas, hopefully it has the new upgraded parts on the tailgate.
Just called the dealer where I got mine and the service person said "there is no fix yet. Ford will send you a letter in the mail when they have a fix and then you can bring it in".....
I searched NHTSA the only one for my truck that shows up there is the tailgate, Nothing about the carpet, although I have the carpet recall, If its the same one as earlier F-150's it is a possible fire hazard from sparks from the seatbelt reels.
Anyone that can’t wait to by a 19 can always just get a 2020. They are not part of the recall.
My dealer has a Lariat and a Platinum Tremor!
I just picked my truck up from the dealer today, they signed off the tailgate recall as no parts or repairs available from ford. I asked about if they were able to sell new trucks with the open recall and he said they could sell the 19's but not the 20's
