New tailgate recall?

Hey everyone, new user here and just bought a brand new 2019 F350 SRW lariat on Friday. This recall effects my truck.. I wasn't able to drive it off the lot Friday.
They did not tell me about the recall and that it was stuck at the dealer until I got there so this is quite frustrating.
Does anyone know what the fix is yet and how long until the dealer can fix it?

I received the same word today. Told me to check back after December 16 to try and set up a date for the recall. My tailgate has opened unexpectedly 11 times in the 2 years I have owned the truck. I hope this is a fix and not just a patch to hide the problem.

They won’t have the parts till the 16th, so unfortunately not much any of us can do but be patient and wait.

My truck was dropped off today for Fords 5th attempt to fix the massage seat. Does this mean that if by some miracle they fix the seat that they won't give it back until the tailgate recall is done?

i don’t think they can hold your truck. You should be good till they get the parts and schedule for another date to correct it.

I got it the recall
Also for the Drl which they wont be fixing. I do not approve of recall.

That's not an acceptable answer. If come the 16th they cannot either provide a fix with the parts for the truck or provide one shortly after the 16th I am not going to be happy. I just bought an 80K truck from Ford and I cannot take it home because the tailgate. I will demand they take the tailgate off.
