i, like most, am having issues with the radio reverting to AM instead of sirius after the 3.0 update. does 3.4 have the same issues?
Whatever I was using when I shut the truck off, is what it comes up in when I start it back up (ie: Sirius, FM, etc., since 3.4, but it was that way before as well - didn't have your issue. I have a 2019 truck that had 3.0 with a newer build I guess).
Has anybody with a 2017 with the ambient light color selection/brightness done this yet? My question is if those functions will be retained after doing this update.
I had a new 2020 F-150 as a loaner that was equipped with the new Sync 3.4 system. I was playing around with this unit to check out how it works and see what is different. I find that this system is sluggish compared to my Sync 3.0, as it pauses sometimes when switching to various menu items and such.
I am wondering what people are finding here performance wise that have done this 3.0 > 3.4 software upgrade?
So I have found some broken features after upgrading today, neither one I'm crazy about.
1. No longer can you browse your USB folders in their entirety unless stopped.
2. Voice command operations are terrible now. So far in 10 minutes trying, it hasn't recognized a single command yet. I used to say, "Play Zac Brown Band." And it would play. All I get now is, "I didn't get that..."
I like the updated maps, but so far, I've gone backwards in capability. Wish I had my functionality back.
Good Morning, I just upgraded mine over the weekend and I too noticed you cannot browse the USB drive unless stopped. This is crazy since I have over 18000 music files on it. Did you ever find a work around for this? Maybe through Forscan? Thanks!

I have noticed no performance issues, if im being honest it feels easier/quicker to navigate to me.

I don't use a USB stick for music so im not much help here. but if you want you can easily revert back to 3.3
First, thanks to all the forum members making this upgrade possible!
I am just getting ready to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.4. I’m just wondering, currently on 3.0, SirusXM travel link weather will not pull any Canadian cities for weather information, and will only pull the nearest USA city. Does upgrading to 3.4 resolve that?
I test drove a new F-150 that had V3.2 and the travel link would pull Canadian weather data. Yet, all the 2017-2019 F-350 will only pull USA weather, even though they are Canadian trucks. (No 2020 trucks near me to check on yet)

No work-around that I found. You just have to know what you want to listen to and use voice commands. Like the OP stated, I went back to 3.3 and can browse on the move again, but my area fuel prices search still doesn't work but when nav is working an active route, fuel prices "along route" actually works. Still don't know what's going on.

Thanks for the reply! Do you have detailed instructions on how to revert back to 3.3? I've seen where you can, just not sure of the process. Thanks again.

Hello Allen, got your message. I don't use USB for music, but I've heard there's issues with 3.4 for some users with no resolution. You can revert back to 3.3 and I think that'll fix your issue. If you need help I can write some detailed instructions to downgrade to v3.3.19052 which is file 4U5T-14G381-AN
FYI - yesterday i received a notice from Ford on the Ford Pass app that tthere is an extensive upgrade for my truck’s Sync 3 software. It included instructions for retrieving the software from Ford.
Morning Leon. Thank you very much. I did the 3.4 upgrade no problem, I just was unsure about 3.3 because the link is just a TAR.GZ file. I just wasn't sure how to extract / load the USB file. Any help is appreciated!
