Here's the ones I have lined up right now. Note the solid lock ring and the innie tabs for hubcaps.
I've been trying to find 4 of these same OEM factory 16" Budd solid lock ring (stamped "Firestone" on lock ring) wheels for my 1967 F-250 Camper Special. Looks just like the one pictured here. I only have one, the spare and want to get back to totally original. The hub cap tabs are for "innie" hub caps. Can anyone help me find these wheels? And I know the issues with getting the 6 ply tires mounted.
Thank you!
Although I'm responding to an old post...I'm trying to find 3-4 of these solid lock ring wheels for my 1967 Ford F-250 Camper Special. Can you provide any help?
Thanks, NoSlack
Try starting a new post. It sometimes helps. I have a two pc wheel sitting in my yard. it was the spare on my '64, when I got it. If you're down Tucson way, you can have it. Not sure what it would cost to ship or have the old tire removed.

John,
Thank you for the reply. Is there anyway you could send me a picture of this two piece wheel. These are several types and I'm looking for the 16' X 5.50 with the solid lock ring (Firestone stamped on it). The Budd wheel has "innie" hub cap tabs.

because you in no way indicated what you are looking for with a picture which would be incredibly more effective(btw), I heard 16.5 and split rim and im not putting more thought into it than that. I own more split rims than most humans ever and thats depressing. But I have rusty ones not rusty ones, ones I had on my square and were not rusty rusty but they were clearly different makes. i have a few of those dually types, see the holes arent conical. Etc. So if you show me an example of what you seek specifically I can look.
I think that wheel on your Skid Steer may be the same as the one I have? Does this wheel have "innie" hub cap tabs. The tabs measure 8 & 3/4" apart where the hub cap would snap in. The solid lock ring (one solid circular piece) has Firestone stamped on it. This is actually the OEM wheel from Ford in early 1960s to early 1967 before eliminating the two piece lock ring wheels which took 6 ply tires. Would you have several of these that are still serviceable?

I will check for certain. My gpa had a 1967 f150 but camper special and had a lot of goodies it seemed but 5x5.5. I also have an early 70s maybe late 60s f100 trucks remains over time too. but. My gpa had a lot of trucks or traded thing over time so it’s not impossible and I will check my dads supply(he’s got a ton) and he has a lot of Ford rims. I’ll check all wheels by full ring or not and will try and show pics even if not definitely. But the trailer will be hard to verify the back side or wheels but the fronts are not too bad. And I will also look for rhe raisers bumps

You will want a 16 or 17” 8 lug by 6.5” bolt circle (8X6.5). These were on Ford F-250 and 350 up to (but not including) Super Duty. E250 and E350 also, and they went into the 2000s.
Dodge will fit also.
you can put up to 31s (285 75R16) on without issue. Skinnier if you like.
I also just got a 67 F250 last weekend and it has split rims also. Found a set of van wheels (16 by 7.5 wide) locally that I will blast and powder coat. Then put 285 75s on them.
Do you still have these split rim wheels from your 1967 F-250 and are they the solid one piece lock ring type? I need them if you have no use or know where you got rid of them>
your help would be greatly appreciated!

NoSlack, I just joined the forum. I am upgrading my recently purchased 1967 F250 Camper Special's wheels and tires to 2013 E250 type. As soon as I do, I will have 2 split rims available (maybe 3 if the spare is split - haven't looked yet). Do you still want them? If so, I will take photos. They are in as good as condition as you'd expect for such old wheels.
I have 4 two piece wheels 15" 5 on 5.5 off my F100 1965 LB.... the rings are in good shape... IDK what to do with them.... anyone interested? Located in San Diego...I had the inner tubes in them but tire guy didnt buy the liners so it was a failed endeavor..
I have the same! A 67 F250 Camper Special with the original 16 inch 8 lug "innie" rims, which use the "inner" dog dish hub caps (and Im lucky enough to have all 4). The truck was my dad's that he handed down to me. Now I am searching for a shop that will break the tires down (and most of them were afraid of the two part rims or locking rims, but I convinced one that they are NOT split rims)
Now I am searching for tires that will fit the original two part rims. The old tires are 7.5 x 16
I have heard that you still need tubes because the two part rims are not air tight.
If anyone has advice on which tires fit, and if i need a tube and a rubber flap?
Thanks!
