Having a difficult time getting the right clips to keep my driver's side barn door interior trim panel in place. Ordered a bag through Amazon that said they were correct but they're too small for the holes.
Does anyone have the correct part # for these clips or a size?
Is there a Ford part # for these things or are they just generic clips? The ones I ordered were too small and just fell out despite Amazon saying they'd fit. Kinda stinks because I only need 1 or 2 clips but removed/replaced all of them on the driver's side and tried to put the panel back one to no avail. All I did was make it worse.
They should still be available but about $20 for 4 from my dealership. There is a website clipsandfasteners .com that has them 25 for $24....I have not got them from there before but I think others have....most problems w the amazon ones that I’ve read is that the plastic is cheap and cracks easily.
So I order a bag of 20-30 off of amazon, today I replaced 4 on the driver’s side barn door successfully. I removed the bad ones and installed the new ones from amazon and pushed the interior panel back on and everything seems to have worked!

We’ll see if they last!

Can you link to the item you bought? That search brought up the item I purchased but they didn't work worth a darn. Here's what I ordered: "
Rexka Door Lower Trim Panel Clips for Ford W704958-S300 Excursion Lincoln Town Car (Pack of 30)"

thats the product I purchased, they seemed to work fine, maybe your holes in the barn door are hoged out!
I checked at Autonation (formerly Tousley ) last week when I purchased a heater fan resistor and that’s the part number given to me by the parts guy and they are still available from Ford according to him, If I remember correctly they were like $1.38 each.
When I installed them I placed them in the back if the panel and then pressed them in gently from the bottom up, maybe that’s the way you did yours also, idk. Just sayin. They are different than any clips I’ve ever seen!
