As the OP of this thread, i would like to thank everyone for their input. I normally just search the forum to learn and solve problems. There are many other previous posts on injector bolt torque that were extremely informative covering, actual improvements, locktite, best torque wrenches, ect.
Old threads are great, but bringing up a topic again can sometimes add a new "twist" in the discussion.
Thanks to all for adding to our passion (brain defect) with these motors. Mine is 23 years old and I never dreamed then it would be my last truck.
Thanks again, Bob
It isn't really unusual for fasteners to need retorques, if something is going to have access issues after assembly they might be safety wired, or maybe something like blue Loctite applied to threads. Why doesn't Ford do this?
Update:
Bought the A.C. Delco digital torque adapter.
All hold down bolts started to move at 90 to 100 inch lbs. Now I know they are tight.
As a bonus found a burnt glow plug pin at valve cover plug.
Don't have a clue if it quieted it down, but now I have peace of mind.
Bob
I use the same unit. don't trust those scratched numbers on the side of the handle, so I use the Delco to set the wrench, then do the torquing without it. This keeps my eyes on what I'm doing, and the configuration of the wrench simple.

You enlightened me on the A.C. DELCO adapter.
Hard to see the actual LED numbers & and hear the beeping change tone.
So, next time I will calibrate my Tetron inch/lb. clicker. But, it sure was fun to use regardless.
Thanks, again. Bob
