Hi, I have been reading on here for awhile, and from what I've gathered I have at least one injector that isn't working properly...here are the symptoms:
- Blue smoke at start up, and there is some until it warms up
- With engine warm, if I rev to 3k, it spins up to 2500 fine, then hesitates, blows a cloud of blue smoke, then revs up to 3000....everytime.
- I've already replaced the o-rings on the injectors
- Once the engine is warm when I am stopping and push the clutch in, the RPM's dip to around 600, and the truck stutters...sometimes worse than others, then levels out. When it's cold, it does not do this at all, it always returns to exactly 650RPM with no dip, or stutter.
Since I've already changed the o-rings, it seems to me I have at least one injector not working all the time, does that sound right?
I did replace both gaskets and all the harnesses underneath, and new glow plugs while I was at it. There was no indication of bad connections or burnt connections, but I figured why not replace it all anyway.
No I'm not sure if I rolled one....Do you think I should pull them again and look, or would it likely "roll" back into place when I pull it out?
Maybe this is the trucks way of saying it needs Stage 1's instead...Has anyone use Full Force Stage 1's?
You may want to pull the covers & inspect the injector spill spouts when the oil is cold . See if the are all spitting oil in equal amounts . It may be a poppet issue ...If you damaged an O ring i would think it would run worse when warm ..
