Hi guys new to the forum. Just a few 4.9 questions. I have a 87 4x4 with 4.9 and want to rebuild a 4.9 out of a 92 will the basic long lock swap with no issues? The motor mounts look different. Also the 92 was a automatic the 87 a manual. Any issues installing a pilot bushing in the auto crank?
I have a 92 block in my 89 F250. The long blocks are the same for all EFI engines. Engine mounts are year dependent so swap over engine mounts from old engine to the other one.
On my 89 I did swap from V8 to I6 so I had to swap the frame perches and used the 92's.
