Not sure what the mounts look like on the old 292? It MIGHT bolt right in?
I know a friend converted a '62 Galaxie from 292 to a 410....so I know it can't be too hard to do.
I'm not sure I would do the swap unless you just need to be able to drive the truck. I don't think it will be any kind of powerhouse.

the y block has a completely differant mounting system. they have front mounts on the motor, and bellhousing mounts for the tranny. i dont htink this would be a good swap, take way to much time and effort with little or no gain to be had. best bet would be to find another f e motor and do the simple swap.
