I have a 1992 f150 2whd 5.0, my overdrive light is blinking. i have read numerous threads, which relate to hard shifting etc. mine now and before runs fine no shifting issues. This all started after I replaced the tps. i also just changed gears. I have no codes as I cleared them after the tps replacement. Could this possibly be the tps, or the vss? I'm sure it was banged on with the many removals of the gears to set the shims. the tps is set closed at .9 volts the idle screw was disturbed by the prior owner. i think I got back close. How do you test the vss is it ohms? I've read it needs to be 190-250 ohms on the sensor pins. I'm frustrated because I cleared the codes. Any Ideas, I'm leaning toward the vss. The tps voltages are spot on. idle good smooth gas mileage is good. I have read its not good to drive it with the od light flashing
My 2008 Ford Escape OD is blinking. I experienced a hard transmission shift from park to Drive. The problem began after I got the vehicle cleaned from a washing area. I pulled the floor shift lever transmission from park to Drive, the vehicle got a slight jerking movement and hard lever movement to Drive position.
can ya help me on this?

Yes, I can. Get the codes read and we can go from there.
Or you could wait until whatever got water in it do dry out and it should be fine again.
