Flashing OD Light - Please Help with these Codes

Hi,

Experiencing loss in power and flashing OD light. Not many certified ford dealers in my area to help.
Getting the following codes, not read by a pro ford scanner. 4x4 switch has been removed.
What could it be? Where do you recommend to begin looking?

B1431
B1840
P1804
B1982
P1832
B1302
B1458
B1434
C1182

Look at the forscan thread, once I reply it will be a few below yours. It will show you what the codes mean... well worth the investment.

Passenger side airbag
Wiper circuit

P1832 is transfer case lockup. That's where I would start.

Flashing OD means you have tranny issues with overdrive slipping. I had this happen on my 95 TD. I found a used one for 250 bucks with 80k miles, installed it and sold it. I didn't want to grind up another auto with Diesel torque so i bought an 02 with a 6 speed handshaker.

No, it doesn't. A flashing OD light means transmission codes are stored. A slipping overdrive is one of about 50 different reasons that the light could flash.

Hi,

Pulled some codes with a better scanner:

P1670
P0750
P0755
P0743
P1754
P0475
PO603
P0476
P0741

Pretty much all transmission related. It looks like I have a HD rebuild for me in the the near future...

Most of those codes are saying circuit failure. Check the wiring harness going to the transmission.

Yeah, that many different codes at once I would start by checking electrical connectors to see what came loose. Also check for a loose ground wire.

Go check the flippin' fuse that runs all of those actuators.

Since you failed to identify what you are working on, you'll have to look it up yourself.

Your problem is in the wiring or grounds, not the transmission itself. Installing a new transmission won't fix this, you will still have the same problem.

We´ve gone through the tranny wiring, grounds and fuses. No culprits found yet... Any other guesses?
Could it be a failure in the solenoid?

The tranny is sealed with silicon (!?) from PO so obviously been intervened. We will have to open and check, while doing so will go ahead with a quality rebuild kit.

You have STILL failed to identify what you are working on. How do you expect anyone to give you specific troubleshooting information?
