I have a 99 Ranger with the 2.5 and my guage cluster no longer works in my truck. I have replaced and checked all fuses and connections and even replaced the cluster itself and still no go. Any advice on this problem? I am this close to yanking it all out and replacing it with autometer guages. Nothing works not even the odometer. Thanks for the help.
You said you checked the fuses themselves, so at this point, you need to make sure you are getting proper voltage to the instrument panel. To do this, you need to measure the voltage at the fuse locations (this is done by hooking up a voltmeter to the "hot" fuse pin and also to ground with the parking lights on). The voltage should be greater than 10 volts.
My '98 has three (3) fuses that are associated with the instrument panel (#11, #15 and #25), and I assume your '99 is the same, so you should check all of them.
