Current setup is a stock f350 with garbage aftermarket Monroe shocks on it...... so the bar is low.
The truck is one that we’ve been restoring and isn’t going to seen any heavy use. The issue I’m trying to solve for is ride comfort. Prefer to not have to wear a helmet when riding in it.
Options, as I’ve read, are to go with the 4600 series as these are bolt ins for a stock configuration.
Other option would be to install an rsk and measure out some 5125s to fit.
I know the rsk will lift it a bit and going with the SD springs will do a lot but it’s work and could bring other issues.
So I’m wondering how much of a benefit can I expect with going the 4600 route vs a full out rsk setup?
4600 are HDs right? I have them on my 2x4 trucks. Love them.
My 4x4 6.4 had 5100s, better for 4x4 to me (I did that steering damper in a 5100 too)! The Z71 has those electric 'Ride Control' shocks, so still rocks those otherwise I would have 5100s there too.
My 6.4 was stock height. CCLB F350 4x4. If that helps?
I used them in dirt and gravel often dumping a trailer full of construction debris often at the dump. Tirerack.com was cheapest then, check amazon too for smashed box deals.
I went through multiple sets of the 4600s. To be honest I like the feel a little better than the 5100s. I just got sick of blowing shocks I’ve never had an issue with the 5100s. There’s an old thread back here unseizing with the 5100s I included the entire chart to go with it Friday length compressor and compress links as well.
My trucks suspension height is stock and I love them
