2014 SD Trans Control Switch P1780
Getting MIL code P1780, cleared code twice, showed back up, looking for ideas of where to start on figuring out what is causing the code. All systems working normal.
Saw a Raptor had an issue with wires that rubbed through on the transmission selector button. Search high and low on forums but have not seen any threads on this issue on newer SD's. 2014, SD, 4x4, 6.7L 78K. Any ideas or thought apricated. Great Forum, antifreeze smell and research via this site resulted in finding and fixed oil leak at vac pump, PIA to get there so swapped out water pump while in that deep, antifreeze smell was actually from small simple tee connector at top of motor.
Need to retract this, new code reader and miss read issue MIL is P20BA the Reductant Heater 'A' Control Circuit Performance, given my research this should fall under an extended warrantee program, will set up an APT with dealer. Re ran test using proper technique and no issue with Transmission selector switch.
