FPR screen tip

Went to change my fuel filter today, and I had seen posts describing how stopped up the FPR screen gets. So I decided to pull it, clean it, and reinstall it. Sure enough, it was all gunked up, but after soaking it and spraying it, it was clean as a whistle. Of course, when I went to replace it, I IMMEDIATELY dropped the dang thing, and after looking for 30 minutes I couldn't find it. Tried to find something around my house with a similar mesh that would work, no dice. Then I remembered the little screens we used to put in our "water pipes" back in highschool. Caught a ride to the local smoke shop, and bought a 5 pack of stainless pipe screens for like 2 bucks. Measured the opening with a machinist's ruler, found a socket with the same OD, traced it, and cut it out. Fit like a glove, which is great because from what I read it is a real pain to find that screen for sale.

Posting this because had I found a similar post, i would have saved 2 hours of my saturday.
