2012 f250 ccsb, 6.7l 4x4. Working on this truck for my uncle. Truck was having issues where the abs and traction control lights were coming on randomly and then sometimes staying on for extended periods of time. Diagnosed the passenger side hub assembly as bad. Replaced both hub assembly's and wheel speed sensors with new motorcraft. Drove truck for 15-20 miles. No dash lights or chimes. Noticed during the drive that sometimes on a hard stop or really bumpy section of road you could hear what sounded like the abs kicking in and the truck would pull to one side or the other like the abs had been engaged. No abs lights ever came on. Finally, when backing the truck in the driveway the dash lit up like a christmas tree. Traction control and abs lights both came on and started flashing and chiming. Parked it for the night. will resume tomorrow. Does anyone have any thoughts? Also can anyone recommend some kind of obd2 reader that will allow me read further in depth into the trucks computer? My edge cts can only read so much. Id like something that could narrow the problem down from one corner of the truck or the other. This truck really really makes me love my 7.3
On my 2012 I had the same thing all of a sudden. I had read on this forum that some code readers will cause this on 2012's. I disconnected mine and all was fine then. It was connected to Torque Pro when this happened and was out of the blue. I would try disconnecting your Edge and see if that affects it. Just a thought.
Think we fixed it. Bled the front brakes and come to find out there was lots of air in the front calipers. Problem seems to have been resolved. I've seen tons of threads with 6.7's having this problem. Wonder how many would benefit from bleeding the brakes?
