I have a 95 f250, with the e4od transmission. Last night I started getting very snappy shifts on my way home, with the od light flashing right before, right after, and during each shift. Having had to deal with that devil light before (which ended up requiring a rebuild after I bought the truck last december) I immediately parked it. I'm getting a code for high voltage on TOT sensor and a fault in the EPC. I know the trans can be very sensitive to various sensors being out of whack, so was hoping to diagnose an electrical issue. After a visual inspection and slapping a meter on it real quick, it's getting 12v power in, and the resistance of the solenoids, coast, etc appears to be correct at a bit over 20 ohms each. What else can I check here? This is my sole vehicle, and I use it for work, so I'm not keen on waiting to have a part shipped in. I found one BM store in my city that stocks the solenoid pack, powertorque brand. The new is 369, reman is 159. Is this a decent brand, or would I be shooting myself in the foot?
All i can remember off the top of my head about the rebuild is that a transgo shift kit was installed, and I believe he said sonnax valves. I know the torque converter and center shaft were also upgraded. Shot Mark a PM, but I figured I would make a post as well. Thanks in advance if anybody has any ideas!
