'05 e250 fuel pump problem? help!
I parked the van, a few hours later it cranks but no start..
I turn the key on and do not hear the fuel pump, I cut an access panel in the floor and have my ear on the pump.
All fuses look good and have resistance. Fuel pump relay clicks, resistance checks out. even still I swapped it with the horn relay next to it. inertia switch has 12.7v at both wires with key on.
I did a voltage drop test, the + side of the fuel pump harness shows 12.7v with key off, key on shows 0.2v. Negative side shows 0v with key off, key on shows 0.1-0.2v.
I banged on the fuel with a block while cranking and it did start and idled for 2 mins then died, but I can't make that happen again.
No codes are coming up on a scan tool.
I replaced the fuel pump and the fuel pump driver module, no change.
When I turn the key on the fuel pump relay immediately clicks, 2 seconds later a "clunk" sound comes from the fuse panel,or maybe under the fuse panel?
Any ideas?
thanks
