REVERSE LIGHTS NOT WORKING
Hello, i have a 02 excursion with a 7.3 and my reverse lights are not working i replaced the fuse and got nothing. it does have aftermarket lights that were installed by a shop before i got the truck. the aftermarket ligihts also dont work. i have read on other forums that it could be a reverse switch or something like that but is there anything else i should check before getting to that? the wires seem to be in decent shape for the aftermarket lights but i could be wrong.

Yes, get a test light or multimeter to see if the reverse light socket is getting 12v power when the truck is put into reverse.
I recently had a turn signal bulb in the rear that stopped working. Turned out to be dirty contacts in the harness socket.

You don’t mention it they’re LED, if they are incandescent check the bulbs first. If they are LED check the wires at the connector, most LED lights run extremely small wires that are prone to breaking. Definitely, pull out the MM and test light.
