I tried to connect some auxiliary backup lights by connecting them to the reverse warning beeper(at rear bumper) harness. Now I have no reverse lights. Checked Fuse#15 in cab fuse panel...its good.

When you say auxiliary backup lights are you talking about something that will draw some serious amperage? I know the reverse beeper (the garbage truck beeper) is wired up to the reverse lights. Is this what you tapped into? Or are you talking about the reverse sensors?
It's my understanding you're supposed to use a relay to the reverse light circuit but need to get the power directly from the battery or via one of the factory upfitters.
I have my extra rear bumper lights wired to AUX2 but I wanted to be able to turn mine on/off when I wanted (not just reverse).

Depending on the current draw, you should be able to hook it directly up to an up fitter switch. but i think you will need to get creative if you want to control it both way (a switch to decide whether to leave it connected to the reverse lights or up fitter). A double pole switch would work. One side of the switch would take the current from the relay connected to the reverse lights and the other side would be the up fitter circuit.

Andy? right? Assuming you are doing this to your 2011, Do what I did. Buy a pigtail for the 5er 7way from partsguyed for $40. Plugs in near spare tire. You can get your reverse and a dedicated hot from this curcuit, or just the reverse and run a line back to the upfitter for your other hot.
Maurader is right, you will need a relay though.

I installed a relay and took power and switched reverse power from the trailer harness. I like your idea better....much cleaner.
