Squeaking arm rest

Has anyone else experienced a loud obnoxious squeaking from their arm rest? Only on the drivers half of the arm rest. If you push on the pad it makes a loud noise... rest your arm where it naturally goes... Squeaks like hell... If I open the lid and squeeze it together with my hands I can make 1/2 of it squeak. It seems like the padding portion of the lid has something underneath between the base of the lid and the covering.
Has anyone separated the covering from the base? Im betting some dry silicone lube would get rid of it but I dont want to break it.
Does anyone think this is a warranty issue? I dont yet have 5,000 miles on a 2019 Lariat. It does bother me. Perhaps if it was a $15000.00 Hyundai I wouldnt care but a $55,000.00 Leather interior Lariat it bothers me.

I’d have the dealer fix it; that’s what the warranty is for.

They’ll probably stick a whole new one on rather than try to fix it.

WTH, you got arms like Popeye? The armrest is not to be used as a work out device, maybe get a gym membership. You do realize that leather came from a cow and you may have a haunted truck, the cow is still living in there and you are abusing it.

OK, LOL all in fun, get it down to the dealer and tells them your drivers' side arm rest FARTS every time you put your arm on it...let them sort that one out!

There are 2 screws behind the cover plate on the arm rest section which you pull to close the door. Maybe they need to be snugged up. If you want to save a time consuming trip to the dealer, the cover plate is easily removed. Look underneath it for a slot where it can be popped off with a screwdriver or my preferred tool for the job...a thin blade putty knife. I believe that the screws require a 7 mm socket.

I was wondering if someone would post something about this. I have the exact same problem. Please keep us posted on what the dealer says. When I go for my first oil change I’m going to ask too.

yea Im going to try it myself first too. Oddly enough it only does it on the drivers side. Squeeze all you want on the passenger side and its quiet.
Again, thanks guys. Ive gotten better info on this site than from the dealer....
