Little frame stripping today. Also cut the rear bumper off. It was bolted and welded on. Looks like there has been a few bumpers bolted on at one point. Frame doesn’t weigh a lot now

Just have to fix the front cab mount holes and a little work on the core support holes.

Forgot to post the blushing removal. Air hammer worked very well. 6 bushings in 20 minutes.

Axle and springs cleaned and primed.

Looking really good. What kind of primer and paint are you using? Asking for future reference.

Wow, you're really going to town on this thing. Congrats. I've done a few rust buckets in the past so I can appreciate the amount of work you're investing. Just bit off my own '64 (well, ok, it's for the wife...). No sure if I'm going to break it down as far as you did, but I guess I'll have to make that call after I started tearing into rust repair. Keep at it!

Thanks for the encouragement I’m a lot further into it than I figured I’d be at this point. I’ll end up slowing down here soon and through the summer. But right now knocking out all I can. Minus new brakes and lines, my goal is to have the frame back on its wheels in a week or 2.

Topside painted late yesterday and just flipped it and shot the bottom. (On vac for the holidays so little extra time on my hands)

Amazing progress! I'm planning to take my F250 down to the frame as well. I doubt I will go as fast as you've been going so far. Looks great!

It’s a ton of work to go down to the frame, but you know everything is the way you want it that way and will last another generation.

Back on 2 wheels today

Back on 4 wheels and new brake lines on order. Rear hose and vent replaced as well. Chipping away at it.

Took this week while waiting on parts to do a little wire harness clean up for the gauges and fueled block. Got it pretty well planned out now. Waiting on a few things to come in for it but it will be ready soon along with an updated extra space fuse bock.

First little reminder of what I started with and a few in the works pictures to give you an idea of what I’m working on. I think it’s going to come out really well for not a lot of $ spent and keeping close to an original looking dash.

That dash cluster is going to look wonderful!

Getting all the wiring that the po screwed up can be quite a challenge. Don't be stingy on replacing wires. The insulation on the wires can crack and get brittle. Random shorts can be a nightmare to chase down.

FYI, my favorite way to splice wires is with NON insulated crimp connectors and heat shrink tubing.
