Steering Sector Info

Has anyone a clear photo and if possible an overall measurement of the 1937-48 steering sector shaft/gear assembly part no. 78-3575.
Going to see a friend next week who has a box of assorted sector shafts but don’t really want to pull my box apart to get some photos/sizes. A clear photo of gear assembled on shaft and an overall length would allow me to expand photo to full size to compare with parts.

I have no measurements but I do have some pictures of when I tore mine down. Not sure if they can help you but...

Thanks for the info guys.
Looking at the PU today I was trying to work out how to get the steering box/column removed.
Has anyone removed a box/column from a complete PU, is it possible?
I can jack up the front end but not sure if the box will pass over or under the axle.

It is a one piece affair. I had to jack up the front of the truck to get it out. I'm pretty sure it went under the axle.

Been a long time but I recall threading mine up thru cab floor and out driver side door because we could not get the steering wheel off.

Lee - will try this weekend to raise PU and see if I can get the box under axle, looks tight.

Joe - did you have the engine in the PU when you removed the box?

It came out pretty easily from what I recall. No steering wheel of course. The whole thing, tube and all, I think. It was a while ago.

Yes the engine was in it. I should have said earlier that this is a 1.5 ton truck so there may be more room in that than in a pickup.

Hi All
just to confirm above, today I raised the front axle 19” above ground and removed complete steering box/tube from pickup without problems.
Rebuild is now underway.
Thought I would post as it might give someone confidence on steering removal from a complete vehicle.

Nice work! Having a one-piece steering column creates some fun, doesn't it?
