Let me give a little back story first. I was recently having some apparent slippage or stall problem with my transmission/torque converter. About a month ago I replaced the transmission in my 2001 F250. After replacing it, I still have a crazy hard TC lockup. It's the same, or maybe worse than before, given I went from a stock converter to a multi disc converter. It does it in every tune (DP Tuner F5 stock, 60 econo, 80 econo, 60 tow). I used a friend's code reader and got a P0720 code. I ordered the Output Speed Sensor (OSS) today, it should be here Friday. I DO NOT have a flashing OD light though, which seems pretty odd. I do have the ABS light on, but I also have a bad wheel sensor on the front left that will also be here Friday.
Any ideas outside of the two things I mentioned that would cause the harsh TC lockup? I don't have any other funky shifts or anything, it's just the TC lockup. It's like side-stepping the clutch in a manual tranny.
It could have the wrong solenoid body. If it is an early '99 (or even an E4OD body) it will work, but the lockups will be just as you described them. Measure the resistance of the TCC solenoid. That will tell the story.

It did it on the previous (stock) transmission as well. What should the resistance be?
