so the 2000 F-250 V10 has never liked anything but the stock key I got when I bought it (2 years ago), any copies are a huge pain to get the ignitin to turn over to start. Ok no problem, use 1 key (pain for wife).
Last week the truck went in because the turn signal switch in the steering column went out a while back. $300 bucks later I have signals again but my ignition is even worse than before. My key will only turn to start if I try it a couple of times or get it just right with pushing in and twisting as I enter key into slot. The spare key has no chance at all now. The ignition makes a click that you can feel after it turns a bit now also. The mechanic said he had to take the ignition apart to change the signals switch/arm and I know he sprayed some sort of lube into the ignition because he said "it was sticking", and there is fluid on the key. This is a real pain and I want to get it remedied before I sell it.
