1992 f150 ignition switch

I had my 92 ignition switch out a long time ago, I think it was a pain in the butt. I believe there are two bolts with a special head that can only be tightened, when you try to loosen them there is no way to hold the screw.
I would try to lubricate the key tumblers, and, like the last reply mentioned , to rock the steering wheel one way or the other.

Is your original key worn out? or is this a duplicate key? Sometimes a duplicate key is just as good as the key it was made from.
Dealer can make you the exact copy of the original key (not worn out key).
If your key is not worn out, then the ignition swith might have to be replaced.
