How is your oil level?

How many miles on your rig?

Sounds like high pressure oil is not adequate, possibly pointing to worn injector orings or weak HPOP.

Consider checking your fuel pressure as another data point.

Did you use Motorcraft ICP, IPR and CPS replacement sensors? We've had better luck with these OEM sensors.

thanks for your reply. 385k on the rig. yes I used ford parts. odd thing is,it runs good up to 45 mph, then I have to ease off accelerator for it to pick up speed, then at 60mph the pedal is dead until I let off again.

the truck radiator hose broke and it got hot quick but it didn't drive bad until the next morning so I was trying to figure it was heat related. when it drops a gear (automatic transmission) it takes off like there is no problem whatsoever then it hits the right speed for gear change and it bogs down again

Seems like we need to see what the fuel pressure is doing, as well as ICP and IPR duty cycle % during those times it bogs down. Can you set up Torque Pro on your phone or tablet and monitor ICP and IPR? OBDII Tools link has more info in my signature. Fuel pressure will need a physical gauge.

Is the fuel filter clean?

Yes filter is clean but wondering about the screen in the tank and fuel pump. I don’t know how to set torque pro but will look it up thanks for the reply

The list of DTCs relating to our trucks that John posted above would be handy to have in the Tech Folder. I looked but didn't see it.

@stinson 108-1 The codes are handy to have in the 7.3L PSD Tech Folder and are already there. They are under the header Misc Information & Modifications and then OBDII codes.

Direct link - https://www.superdutypsd.com/ford-su...bdii-codes.php

When inserting the the links and attachments in the folder, I always tried to give credit to the original post author or website creator.

Thank you for the suggestion though on adding them to the 7.3L PSD Tech Folder, keep the suggestions coming.
