I love you also paint the valley---great way to spot any leaks, makes it easy to clean and looks bitchin' too--no downsides there!
So I do notice you'll be using studs for the heads----how will that affect applying the correct torque where the TTY bolts were used originally? Or did the V10's not use those bolts?
Its actually powdercoat and thanks!
the ARP head studs will provide much more consistent torque then the TTY bolts so I can feed it boost without a worry.
Do the mice like the color blue? I have 2 v10 motors and they both have the factory installed mouse nest in the valley under the intake plenum.
Hmm---never considered that aspect---could be messe DO like blue? (Pixie & Dixie & Mr Jinx the cat cartoon reference for the younger set.) Come to think of it that's one cozy space for a critter, plenty of real estate and warm too so I can see the attraction.
Sorry for the wait everyone i have been busy with other aspects of life. But the v10 project is back on track with a few updates.
Went with Innovators West damper, Billet timing chain setup and a new electric water pump.
Shortblock is assembled and im doing the guides and valve job this week then wrapping up the transmission. PI 2000 stall converter and dual support forward drum. Im hoping to have this done and running by the end of next month
So just finished CNCing up some cam cores for the 2v V10, Heading out to Crower today for grinding, Setup for 222 Dura@ .050 Intake. 226Dura@ .050 Exhaust. .550 Lift intake and exhaust on a 110+4° LSA

I would be interested in how your build of the 4R100 would contrast to the stock version.
Nice progress on your project here---thanks for sharing with us!

I will probably make a separate write up thread for the transmission so look out for that in the next week.
I can tell you right now the buildup for one of these is entirely different from a stock, Everything is upgraded in some form.
Bingo! Soon as i finish beefing up the Low/Reverse hub and rear planetary i will pop up a new thread just for 4r100s, Where should i put that thread?
I'd tack it onto this thread since most of us already following your engine build would look I'm sure. Maybe also add it to the Transmission sub-forum too?
Well its going to be a pretty huge writeup it will take over this thread. Im not going over just what i choose to do but also year to year differences, Issues ive found, Different parts. The whole 9 as you would.
