Sync/Navigation Display Seems Washed Out

On my 2017 F350 Lariat, the display, especially in Navigation mode, seems like the brightness control is set to high and contrast is set to low. Is there access to settings for the display which I have failed to find?

Have you gone into the settings menu?

Hit settings, scroll to the left, hit display, hit brightness, then adjust to your liking.

I’ve found that by switching the screen to always being in the night mode, everything is easier to see in the daytime so try this before you adjust the brightness.

I hope this info helps you out.

Have a great day.

Since I posted, I did find the lost "Display" menu (I was not swiping to the left) and adjusted the brightness. Not much effect. I called Ford and they said there were no further settings available to me. So I just went out and tried your suggestion to go to night mode. My first reaction was not favorable, but after looking at it for a while, I started to warm up. I am going to give it a try for a few days and see how it works out. Thanks for the tip.

I had to argue with them for a very long time, they finally said that they were going to look into it. I cannot believe that on an $80k+ vehicle you cannot adjust the brightness, I have a very cheap tablet (about $69) and I can even do it on that. There is a brightness slider but it is grayed out and does NOT work. This is a DEFECT, we should not have to find a work around, they need to fix it, it is only a software problem.

If you get any further feedback from Ford, please post. I am still not happy about this.

Update: Ford just called me, yes they really did. It looks like they are looking into the problems with the Sync 3 screen, I would suggest that if you have any problems with your sync screen you can contact them on facebook "chat": https://www.facebook.com/ford/ and hit the "Messenger" button. The more complaints we send them the better chance they will do something faster.
Thank you all for all the help, but please don't stop I can use all the information I can get.

Appreciate your carrying the ball with Ford. I for one will send an email to Ken supporting your efforts. But first I have to go take another look at my display. Been a while since I fussed about it, I need to refresh my memory.

Hey brothers, I could use a little help here. If anyone has a problem with their sync 3 screen being to bright, and have to use it in night mode all of the time please respond here. We will not get anything done unless we band together. I have given a lot of information on this forum, But we have to stick together and let each other know what is happening. Now if you love the way your sync is working, then you do not need to to anything, but if you are having a problem, or think something could be better please post it here. I will try to keep things going, but I need support.

Thank all of you !
Bob

I have just sent an email to Rick Lockhart (see UWBob's post #8 above) asking that I be included regarding the requests for Ford to look into the brightness and contrast issues with the Sync 3 displays. YOU can too!
