Supplemental heat

Never really tried it before but today when I started truck to go to the post office turned the heater up 79 degrees and noticed hot air coming out within a mile from the house. Is there any way to know for sure if I have that option. Does not show on window sticker but sure seemed to warm up a lot faster than my other two ford diesels I have owned. Its a Lariat ultimate package.

If you had the rapid heat supplimental heater it would be on the sticker.

Only other thing I can think of is you had the engine block heater plugged in or it was warmer than you thought.

Or your wife took it out to grab a beer when you weren't looking.

Or he is in California, mid thirties and I have heat in the first mile just fine. The truck is up to 190 within 5 miles.

That's what I'm thinking. 'Cold' is a very relative thing. The trucks warm up quick enough when it's only in the 30's. Below that it just takes more and more time or miles to get the engine temp up to where it'll make heat in the cab.
