First oil change

AKA, don't let the blasts get to you...most of the guys here are really cool and a little bit of newbie hazing is in order, I still get some being fairly new.
I use nothing but Mobil 1 Synthetic and I used to use FRAM filters but they have gone down in quality in recent years from what I have read and seen online after guys cut them open so I now use Mobil 1 Filters as well.
Agree with the other guys as long as you regularly change your oil you should be ok with that - brand be damned, but I trust Exxon Mobil because I used to be in the racing industry and spoke with a lot of mechanics in the garage who all trusted Mobil 1 Syn in the cars in NASCAR Cup series. In addition I am a huge Formula 1 fan and the work that Mobil puts into their lubricants is beyond compare...
Oh yeah, I like some others here I change mine every 5000 miles.
