The dark side is going GM. A diesel is not a dark thing. It was smart for me.

For local things that's why I have the wife's Honda, the play toy is my Bronco, the work horse is the F-250. I got 150,000 miles and that;s considering that in the past 5 years it's sat parked for pretty much a year and a half so figure 150,000 miles in 4 years so 37,500 miles annually. And yes I bought the diesel because I wanted it.

I had an early V10 250,000 miles and until it started to blow a plug it was a good truck but wished it didn't have the lift kit. The 6.4 was great till the HPOP started to go at 145,000 so now I have the 6.7. If they were to put the original 460 V8 in a new truck with the 6 speed I would have one. That was a pulling beast. I had one in a 350 long bed, crew cab, with the old C-6 and a US Gear under-drive so I had the 3.73 rear axle then when I drop it down I had a 4.30, 6 forward and 2 reverse. I pulled many a thing with it that many said it couldn't do it but it would. I still miss that truck. It was the first truck I ever really bought for me.
