I updated the map in my 2011 F350 for the first time about two years ago because I started traveling on a regular basis thru NYC and, in one area, the exit numbers had changed. New map still had the old exit numbers though; no other noticeable changes so it wasn’t worth the money.

You need a DVD to update the maps on the 2011 and 2012 trucks. SD cards are used on 2013-2016 trucks. Someone back 3-4-5 months ago suppose to have bought a DVD off eBay for a reasonable amount but not sure if it worked or not. You might search the forum.

Thx. Yea, I couldn’t see doing updates every year but after 7 years there are new roads and construction changes all over. Pulling a 30’ travel trlr makes missing or wrong turns a real pain especially at night. Last night it had me exit a couple of miles too soon then right back on the interstate. 7 years ago that was a construction bypass.
Found mention of an A10 card just want to know if that’s the one or do I need something different.

If you do not have the Sony radio with NAV, you will need a DVD. The A10 SD card will NOT work for you.

The references you see to A10 are for the SD card based Sync 2 trucks (2013-2016) as mentioned.
The Sync 1 Denso nav system in your truck stores the map data on an internal hard drive and needs to be updated via a DVD.
