92 4.9 horn not working

Hi all. My horn stopped working the other day. Mine does not have an airbag, would it still have a clock spring? The only springs I come across say they are for airbags. Thanks

No. It would have a brass spring loaded pin and a brass ring on the back of the horn pad. I would first check for power at the horns located behind the upper stone deflector on the core support below the driver’s headlight.

Thanks. I'll borrow my friend's multimeter on Sunday and test. I suspect though, that it is an added symptom of a different problem I'm having that started out being a problem when shifting to reverse but is getting worse. Horse before the cart, though, I'll check first.

Check continuity from the fuse to the power wire to the horn, then continuity from horn ground pin to ground (wherever that is). Key off for this test. If both circuits have power I would suspect the horn itself is bad.
