Engine dies on hill

77 F150 4x4 C6. Started life as a 351m but converted to 400m. Basically everything in the engine, trans and transfer case was either rebuilt or replaced. Which is whats making trouble shooting so hard since I changed everything. I've been having a lot of problems getting this truck to run right but the 1 that has me stumped, I can do burnouts all day long on flat ground but as soon as I'm on any kind of incline and even breath on the throttle it dies. I've searched extensively for vacuum leaks, timing is right, carb setup right, I pulled the fuel line off the carb and cranked the engine. Looked fine assuming its only supposed to be 7psi or so. It does have all of the stock vac lines and egr which I'm tempted to eliminate.

Side note when I was cranking the engine with my remote starter, I had the coil disconnected but the engine fired. It immediately died but that still has me confused. Engine was cold so I doubt heat from compression. 400 crank, pistons, bigger cam and roller rockers were all I upgraded.

Motorcraft 2150. Don’t remember what I set it to but I usually just make the float level. it really takes the slightest incline for it to happen. Maybe I’ll park it on a hill and take the carb lid off and see what the level is. It will rev up in neutral just not under load and only on a hill

Park it on level ground and see what the fuel height is.

carby issue

Don't overlook the accelerator pump circuit linkages as well checking on the float bowl level.

Wet height was 3/4. I can't find what the spec is supposed to be but if anything it looks a little high. Cranked the engine till it stopped filling. Push on the float and gas shoots out so it's building and holding pressure. Went searching again for vac leaks. Retourqued the intake manifold, carb and shot starter fluid everywhere I could think of. It's smoother at idle now. I was able to get 17 manifold vacuum but that's with the screws turned out 4-1/2 turns so I think it's still leaking from somewhere. I had all the vac lines disconnected for this except the brake boost and trans. Checked the plugs and if anything it looks a little rich
