2011 sudden soft break pedal

So now I have had this happen acouple times. The brake pedal all of a sudden gets soft and feels like it has no brakes. Pedal all the way to the floor and barely stops the truck. What could it be. Checked revisor and Is full pumped brakes and no leaks. Fluid feels warm but haven’t been riding brakes

I had a small leak one time in the brake line fitting above the front passenger side wheel; was rusting out. Just feel or look at the fitting for wetness. May not be your issue, but you never know

When the brake pedal gets soft if you pump the brakes do you get a stiffer pedal?

I had an older F350 do this but it didn't have ABS. It turned out to be a corroded master cylinder.

Well it did it on the previous trip and we stopped and after a bit it felt fine and we kept going. Did the same thing today. I’m not sure what the problem is. We bled some air out but not much. I wonder if the master is going bad or if the abs is leaking. I did a abs bleed using FORScan this time so not sure if that helped or not

There is air somewhere. You can try some soapy water and brush it on the areas while someone tests the brakes, Start at the master cylinder connection then move to each wheel as the most likely point of a leak,

Brush the rubber lines in full since they can fail.

Have you unbolted the master cylinder from the booster to see if it is leaking or has leaked?

We have not. I went over all the lines and calipers and I can’t find a leak anywhere. My fluid level has not dropped a bit. Only possible thing I can think of is Maby the fluid has some condensation in it and that is starting to boil making a gas or air in the line from the boiling. And then after it sits for a bit and cools it’s all good again. As soon as we get home we are going to do a full brake flush. And reveled everything with fresh new fluid. My question is. Would you bleed the abs before or after each wheel

No "ABS" bleeding unless the HCU is replaced. Just a normal brake bleeding is only requirement. Preferred method is with a pressure bleeder.

Attached is the 2014 Ford Workshop brake bleeding procedure.
