PCM question

Anybody know what the part number is to the PCM wiring harness or where I can get one? Mine seemed to break off in the PCM

Pic and exactly what you are looking for. I have an '01 F-350 parts truck out in the garage but I don't know if the parts will match.

Heres a couple of pics. I was out running errands and it started to behave erratically so i swapped out the icp based on a code with FORScan but after looking deeper I found this.......

You will have to remove the PCM and use a drill bit and an easy out. The bolt is broken off that holds the harness connector in the PCM. It's not that big of a deal, I have had to do numerous ones like that. A new harness will not help you. You can remove the bolt and get a hardware store one to replace it.

Good job, I thought that was going to be the difficult side!

If the harness bolt does not simply push thru, then it is being retained by a press on washer inside that gray connector box. Looks like the type of box that can be opened and closed again. Then you can access the bolt and the retention washer. Never had one open, just an educated guess. It may be glued or sealed for waterproofing and you'll want to seal it up again when you put it back together. I would not recommend RTV since the gasses it emits as it dries can rot soldered connections. Hopefully it has a reuseable rubber seal.

The plastic may be crispy at this age so be as gentle as possible. Going to be a pain to do carefully while in the vehicle, hope you're flexible!

Google, broke the PCM Bolt in my 7.3L…based on the threads it’s a PITA but others have came and conquered. When tightening the bolt stick with a 1/4” drive.
