Has ANYBODY used the DPF cleaning service at Ford? I am curious to know how much that costs.

I just read on another forum that one dealer was charging $500 for a cleaning. Another guy said that ford doesn’t endorse this process but in the owners manual it states something about a small amount of ash build up might require the DPF to be removed and cleaned at approx 120,000 miles.

If I planned to do a cleaning at that mileage, I’d just delete it but some of you guys live in inspection states so your SOL.

It might make it to 250,000 but it will most likely have issue before that time. The diesel supplement manual states it might need a cleaning at 120,000. Most have DPF issues between 100,000 and 150,000 and then delete it, which is cheaper than replacing it.
