I found that plug last night. Does anyone know where to find the male plug that would fit? It would be nice if I didn't have to cut the factory end off.
Searched and didn't see an answer here. I have a 19 XLT with running boards, but no lighting. I do however, have the pigtails on each frame rail for courtesy lights. On the pic below, how does one remove the plug in the pigtail? I rooted around up there and came up empty. Anyone got em out? How? Thanks in advance.

I was wondering the same.

I threw some in the Amazon cart just in case someone comes along and verifies that they do indeed work. What has anyone used for lights down there? I was thinking may some LED bolt lights?

Thanks. If I install lights in that area and they only came on & off like courtesy lights or for the length of time the other lights stay on after exiting the truck I'd be OK with that. I really don't need them as running or parking lamps.
When I asked that question it was because I thought you were saying your truck came with the lights. I had previously asked if they came on the higher trim levels like the Platinums and up. I wasn't referring to the connector but the actual factory lights.

Misunderstanding . My truck did not come with lights , only the connection points . Hope we cleared that up . Thanks
I went ahead and ordered the previously referenced plugs. They'll probably be here in the coming week. Ordered lights at the same time and it looks like they're scheduled for delivery today. We'll see how well they light up the underside as extra puddle lamps.
Lights arrived today, plugs not due in for 4 more days. In the meantime I mounted the lights to an existing bolt under the running boards, as I didn't feel like drilling the truck.
They're located in close proximity to the power plugs and with my uses for the truck the lights should have no problems with ground clearance.
So I get these plugs on Amazon, install yellow marker lights. Wire up to the plugs then I have running lights when my Head, Tails lights re on ?
No. Wiring to that plug will give you running board entry courtesy lights when you hit the unlock bottom on your key fob, that’s all.
If you’re after amber clearance lights, you’re gonna have to run a length of wire back to the taillights and tap into those back there. Same concept as the DRW Marker light mod. I tapped off the center wire on the lower taillight bulb
