Searched and didn't see an answer here. I have a 19 XLT with running boards, but no lighting. I do however, have the pigtails on each frame rail for courtesy lights. On the pic below, how does one remove the plug in the pigtail? I rooted around up there and came up empty. Anyone got em out? How? Thanks in advance.
Simply grab the dummy end of the plug with two fingers ( On The left ) push it in snug take your Other hand apply pressure on the female side there’s a release tab on the top it may work better if you use a screw driver and pop it off the side of the frame where you can see it
[QUOTE=moynihan1129;18709730]Do the plugs have power to them or does it need to be enabled via forscan?[/QUO
they are powered yes mine where tied into The same circuit as the entry/ exit and also could be turned on with the cargo lights from either the bed or inside the cab
What would that plug be used for? I have the factory installed power running boards but no lighting.
If you have them (one on each side ) they are on the outside of the frame rail just forward of the rear wheel well opening . They are hot from the factory and everything I have read on this forum says they are for running board lights , as they fade off with the other marker lights that come on when the doors are opened .
