Can anyone tell me where I can purchase what I call a wire junction block that is mounted on the firewall on the passenger side near the top of the firewall?

Without knowing more specifics I'll assume you mean the generic type of junction block and not a fuse block.
Thanks for the tip. I'm looking for an original style. I'll try to get a picture of the one I took off and post it.
According to my my book I believe the part you are looking for is p/n 8W14448 "Block ***'y, (junction)". Google search turned up zilch. Number Dummy will know for sure.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
I typed the 8W-14448 number on ebay, another part number (DOHZ-14448-E) came up. Seller says it replaced 8W-14448 but I was unable to confirm this. It's pictured, so y'all can take a look-see.
If it's the same, GREEN SALES CO. has 38 = 800-543-4959.
I took a peek and it seems it's an updated version for later models. Same appearance and dimensions, but doesn't use the paper insulators. This appears to be solid Bakelite. I don't think a purist would buy it for $38, instead spend $300 for authenticity.
There's got to be one on a parts truck somewhere. There were used in 53 and early and mid year 54s. My 54 which a was a late build from the Chester PA plant doesn't have one!

8W-14448 truck parts catalog applications say different...
Also listed in the 1949/59 Ford car parts catalog for 1951 convertible and 1956 Ford (except Bird).

I know that Bill, and I should not have made a blanket statement and said late year 54s had no junction block, but back in 1999 I bought a stock style wiring harness with cloth covering from Mid-Fifty. It was too short to reach the solenoid. I called Mid-Fifty to complain and get guidance. Sy said it should fit. I had to run jumper wires to reach the solenoid. Only this past winter after talking to other 54 owners here and looking at many firewall pics of 54's and 55's on line did I discover that other 54's had the junction block and 55's did not have the junction block and my truck was made late in the year and the Chester plant must have started some of the 55 changes. Also the solenoid was not mounted on the firewall in 54, except for mine and perhaps others made late at Chester...
My 54 with no junction block:
My stock unmolested 55 with the longer wiring harness:
A 54 V-8 firewall, not mine, with the junction block. Notice the solenoid is not mounted on the firewall.
a very nice 6 cylinder 54 firewall:
Dennis, Pinto Plumber, has a 54 and he says his solenoid is mounted on the frame near the battery.
Thanks everyone. This is a plastic replacement instead of the original metal style. Nice to know they have them if all else fails. Really appreciate the help.
