I called NOS about a week ago when Bill gave me part number and it said they had one....they don't.
Our current gear ending in B-8 looks to be in good shape I just have no idea what it came out of.
C3OZ-17285-C out of Fairlane, would that work? It's on ebay
I believe Bill posted spacer is obsolete somewhere but I can't find it. Is that correct Bill? Maybe with correct part number I can find some specs. If not I will try calipers and having one made.

Could not find the spacer as Bill said.
I found on Amazon a steel shim kit with inside diameter of 1 3/8" and 1 7/8 od. It comes in 19 different thicknesses. Couple different reviews said they used in transmissions and worked great so I will let everyone know.

Had time to get truck on hoist yesterday. We experimented with Fairlane drive gear that we bought off ebay for just a minute. The problem was the outer diameter of it. The inside diameter was perfect but it had a larger outside diameter. This wouldn't allow the driven gear to seat properly.
We then used the steel shim spacers we bought off Amazon to get the "play" out of drive gear that was already in truck. The two also put the driven gear centered over the drive gear.
Driving truck after re-assembly the speedometer worked nice and smooth. Now we will see if it stands the test of time.
Well the driven gear didn't stand the test of time. Last night speedometer started jumping around and clicking. As Cosmofennema said on another thread, if you don't replace the drive gear you might as well buy a bunch of the driven gear as it will continue to apple core them. This appears to be the case!
So, since the Drive Gear is obsolete per NumberDummy I have to think outside the box and come up with something compatible. So what I'm wondering, Is the tailshaft the same diameter on a cruise-o-matic no matter if it went in a galaxy/mustang/thunderbird etc? If that is the case would one of their drive gears work if they are 8 tooth?
My current drive/driven gear setup was reading about 10mph slower than I was actually going, could the driven gear be upped to a 20 tooth?
Some of those other cars drive gears appear plastic, and my driven gear is supposed to be steel, see any issues there?
