Metal Tag on ignition coil

As some of you know, I acquired a very original and unmolested 71 F100. I noticed this factory tag still mounted under the ignition coil bracket bolt. Anyone know what these are for and what info they tell?

Engine Identification Tag:

302 / C = Engine Plant Code / 71 = Year / 10 = Change Level.

1 = Year of Production (1971) / D = Month (April) / K (unknown) / Engine Code Number 292 = 302 2V / J (unknown).
