Sync screen unresponsive/slow. Help please.
(17’ 250 6.2 15kmiles)
all button commands on screen or steering wheel have a good 5-10 second delay.
Only command not effected is changing the volume with the Rotary **** on dash.
Keeps freezing and takes 90 seconds to “catch up”
gps driving turn by turn and driving icon is lagging bad too
when my iphone is Bluetooth connected it seems even worse. I tried taking my iPhone out of the saved phone list and reading,(no luck).
I did did a master reset. No luck there.
is there anything else I can do? I won’t have time for another 3 weeks to bring the truck to ford.
Please help

The problem is the APIM and it’s showing the typical / normal first signs of acting weird and it has to be replaced. Also, a Master or soft reset will not solve or fix the problem nor will disconnecting the battery. If you try any of these, the system will act like it’s back to normal but it doesn’t last very long and more than likely, the same problems will return after a few minutes.
The APIM is attached to the back of the actual display screen.
I have the same problem in my 2016 F150 and my APIM has been on order since October 2018.
It really doesn’t bother me because I use Apple CarPlay and for some reason while using CarPlay, the touch screen works perfectly. I have unlimited data so I just run everything through my iPhone. The iPhone "MUST" be used via USB because Bluetooth will "NOT" work properly with a bad APIM.
I hope this helps you out.
Have a good weekend.
