Instrument Cluster Display Default Setting

The center display is defaulting to trailer status every time I start my brand-new 2019 F-250. Is there a way to set the default to one of the trip screens? The only thing I can think of that may have affected this is that I did not complete trailer setup as I did not have the trailer stickers with me at the time.

Thanks
Craig

Go to trailer setup. Select Trailer option no trailer. Should do it. Happens all the time.

It seems someone gets caught in the trap on the menus about once every two weeks or so...

Thanks! I knew it had to be something simple.

Cheers

If you unplug the trailer lights while the truck is running, it will acknowledge there is no longer a trailer connected.

The next start it will not default back to trailer status

Yep, however, with my unhooking style, that's often hard to remember.

1) Park the trailer
2) Shut off truck
3) Get out, open basement storage, get out chocks and jack pads
4) Chock tires, place jack pads
5) Drop landing gear, lift slightly to take pressure off hitch
6) Close basement storage, drop tailgate
7) Unplug 7-pin, trailer camera, unhook breakaway cable
8) Pull latch on hitch.
9) Get in and start truck, pull away
10) Park truck
11) Close tailgate
12) Run autolevel on trailer
13) Finish trailer setup... power, water, slides, etc...

If I wanted to leave the truck running when I disconnect the trailer, I either have to leave it running for steps 2 thru 7, breathing in exhaust fumes the whole time... Or, I would have to swap in an extra set of steps between 6 and 7, of getting back in the truck, starting it, then getting back out and heading to the back of the truck to unplug it again.

Instead, I just try to remember to select the 'No Active Trailer" when I park the truck in step 10.

Hey! Just wondering if you got this issue fixed? The only way I have been able to get the truck to go to the speedometer screen and not the towing screen at startup is to take the tongue out of the receiver. VERY INCONVENIENT!
