I don't think they know what they are doing as far as putting the right part # in, etc. I would go to another dealer, see if they are any better. Bottom line is that you are covered under the premium warranty. Just curious. did you buy your extended warranty when you purchased the truck, or did you buy it before you had the 36K miles or 3 years? I am getting ready to purchase one from Flood ford on my 2016.
I wouldn't take no for an answer, that defect is covered, period. Good luck

That's easier said than done. I tried and my dealer tried. However, FORD wouldn't relent.
They finally compromised with the $200.....which was much easier to digest than the original $1200.
Note, the argument from Ford was that the wire should not have come loose unless something was in the way. They couldn't/wouldn't fathom that it was a defect.
Ford swore that I had to have done something or placed something there, causing the wire to detach.
latest update, the repairs have been done and yes I paid for it....
my wallet is much lighter now.
The service manager gave me the phone number for the CAC for Ford and told me to call them about this problem.
I will be doing that today. This is going to be a struggle, and it shouldn't have to be one just to get Ford to honor their own ESP!!
I brought my 2015 F-150 in for the rear defroster issue. Only the center sliding window was not working (defroster only). Dealer service department calls me saying part is not covered by the warranty and I will have to pay for it out of pocket. I argue with the guy asking what I have for a warranty. He tells me I have the premium which is the best warranty Ford will give. I then ask him what does the warranty cover, he tells me it is probably easier to tell me what it does not cover than what it does. So I ask him what it does not cover. He then stops and says I am going to transfer you inside to the guy that sells the warranties to better explain it. No one answers so he says they will call me back. Meanwhile I look online and see an 800 number for Ford warranty questions and also a brochure showing what Premium covers with the caption that not all is listed because there is too many. It specifically calls out under electrical in the brochure that it covers the rear defrost not glass breakage. So I get in touch with someone at the 800 number and they tell me if the dealer put in the part number and the system said it was not covered nothing they can do. I continue to argue with them pointing out the false advertisement in their brochure and demand to talk to someone else. They transfer me and my call is dropped. I call again get someone else and they transfer me again...again dropped. I call a 3rd time and get a number that I can call if the call is dropped. I finally talk to someone and explain it again. The guy says have the dealer use this part number H42006 and it will be covered. I call back the dealer and tell them to use this part number. The rep was like I don't think that is a part number, I told him to try it anyway. He then says I'll be damned that took it is covered under warranty. If I was not persistent I would have had to pay for this warranty work out of pocket for no reason. I was on the phone over 3 hours but I won. For those of you that already had to pay try going back and seeing if you can get a refund. For all of you that have not had this happen yet bring the part number with you.
