Hi, I have a 67 f100 with a 360 v8 swapped in. I want to throw in some flowtech headers but I am concerned about the clearance with the power steering ram. It seems to barely clear the stock headers let alone 3 inch performance ones.
THOSE ARE JUNK, The 5'16" header flanges will warp an leak at the exh ports. .
Buy better headers that have 3/8" header exh. flanges...
Many headers driver side will exit into the in frame gas tank plus trap the starter in place an must drop the header to remove starter..
Things to think about when your starter fails an you out of town or away from home an you have a auto tranny that can't not be pushed stated like a manual trans..
IIRC, the 67's had a hydraulic ram power steering system.
The only '67's that had power assist P/S (control valve & hydraulic ram cylinder) were Fairlane/Falcon/Comet and Mustang/Cougar!
The only F100/250's with Power Assist P/S were 1973/75 F100 4WD's & 1973/77 F250 4WD's (High Boys).

P/S hydraulic cylinder aka ram was only used with 1973/75 F100 4WD's with Garrison Power Assist P/S. So if your 1967 F100 has it, it also has 4WD and the P/S was swapped in.
But...if your F100 is 2WD and has factory installed P/S, it uses the Bendix P/S integral gearbox, so there's no such thing as a ram.
Sorry, so not a steering ram but just a gearbox then. But would it clear any big exhaust headers with a 360 cu inch.
Glad you clarified that. Only way headers will interfere with the ram is if you install them the exhaust out the front.
Question, why put headers on a 360? You won't get much improvement. I did years ago and it sounded a little louder, but all I got was noise. I didn't get any further away from where I started.
