2014 Tuner
I just traded my old 08 H&S tuned 6.4 for a 2014 dually King Ranch 6.7. It's completely stock and only needed some minor maintenance items replaced. New shocks and a couple of bad body mounts... I did notice that the DPF and EGR seemed very loose and I'm worried that they might fall off. In the unlikely event that such a thing happens, I'll need a tuner to get the truck running properly again so that I can get it to a dealer for replacements.
Anyway, in my old 6.4, I had Spartan and H&S tuners. I liked the H&S mini maxx for it's simple monitor and buttons instead of touch screen. I liked the Spartan because of its far better transmission tuning (not that there was anything wrong with its engine tuning) and the improved throttle response. Unfortunately, neither of these companies are still in business and I don't want to get a product that I can't get any kind of support or updates for. That puts me in the market for a new tuner. What I'm looking for is engine longevity and fuel economy. Better throttle response would be nice too, but it's not a requirement. The 6.7 has plenty of power and I have my bike for those "need for speed" days. What's a good tuner and tunes to use for what I want?
