Headlight peeling
Mine are also doing that on the top corners. I'll never be able to convince them to warranty it though since they are retrofitted. Even though all i did was open them and reseal them. didn't mess with the lens at all. -__-
So it's been roughly a month and a half since I went to the dealer. They took pictures to send to Ford's warranty department. About two weeks after I originally contacted them Ford finally got back but wanted more pictures because the headlights were not turned on when the dealer took pictures. Haven't heard anything since. I know the issue isn't a safety hazard but this seems a little long to identify whether or not it is a covered item.

Mine just started. Left LED headlight along the top in 3 places. I cannot believe it on a 2 year old truck. I recommend everyone go out and check theirs! At first it looks like a etched in water spot, but it is clearly not. It is peeling, and if you run your nail over it, you can feel it catch on the edge.

My current issue is a rubber roof trim piece that was broken from the factory and marked with yellow paint by the rear glass. It wasn't until I got it home and washed it for the first time that I saw the issue. That and there was a missing rubber body plug in the passenger rear door area and front passenger side window is being scratch from something inside the door when it goes up or down. Took it to the dealer the last week of May (Phil Long Ford) and was told Ford will not warranty the glass but ordered the rest of the parts. They stated they pulled the door panel and didn't see anything which left me scratching my head. Funning thing is, when I got the truck home the drivers side rear door panel was hanging by the wires when I opened the door. This leads me to believe they pulled the wrong panel to begin with. After never receiving a return phone call I finally got an appointed the last week of August after a half dozen calls to the dealer. All of this for a rubber plug and roof trim.
This is one major reason why I will likley not buy a Ford product next go around. Between constant fighting for warranty work to be honored to the sheer amount of months it takes to get anything completed, I am pretty much done with them. I have never had a warranty issue not rectified in a timely manner by GM or Toyota.

And you think this problem will be any different with GM or Mopar? Not bashing, just curious. The other dealers can have the exact same protocol.

Sam,
I get what you are saying, however I have NEVER had an issue with GM and Toyota either honoring a warranty claim or getting the work completed immediatley. This includes three local GM dealers and two Toyota I have delt with that went out of their way to make me a happy customer. Hell, that even included a very expensive injector claim that was outside the warranty window. I have not had the same experience with my two local Ford dealers and Ford corporate. It is a constant battle that is less and less worth my time.

Maybe starting to get a little off topic, but I've had great experiences with my ford dealer for everything I've had to have done. Couldn't be happier. They've let me have a loaner for everything they've done if it wasn't convenient for me to be without my vehicle. No questions asked.
