So is no one else seeing their light peel? Go check folks!
oh mine look like garbage. even from when I posted in this thread earlier. They're rapidly deteriorating. i'm going to remove them, sand all the clear coat off them and get some CQuartz sealant.
Just checked mine. OK here. Bought truck on Halloween last year. Lived in mega winter in CA, then here in the southeast since June. Can rule out temperature extremes.
My 2017 w/ standard headlights are doing this at the upper corners, not that noticeable though. I used some of this on them the other day, seems like they are more "glossy" if you will, and the spots don't catch a nail as bad as before, but who knows if it will last or even do any good, or possibly come off in first car wash. There is a lifetime of it in one bottle, so I'll probably keep after it and report back at some point.
I have halogen headlights and both are peeling like the photo above. Truck is not quite 2 years old. Has anyone had any luck getting Ford to replace the headlights? They look like crap after you see it for the first time.
Mine have definitely gotten worse over the last 2 months and I've only had about 3-4 car washes since then. I will inquire about warranty replacement in 1,000 mi. when I drop off for next oil change. Also need to have them confirm whether or not my horn is working properly and self-repair if not due to Raptor grill and not wanting them dicking with things.
wow, the cheap list just keeps getting bigger, ima just keep blind eyes to this crap and wait a few years after the new tundra comes out.
Agreed. Once I rid myself of the latest Ford Superduty, it will be my last. With the current and previous amounts of warranty work, I am hoping to "lemon law" i soon.
Went to the wash today, and the top sides of my headlights are definitely getting worse. The pass. side is about to spread down to the front side. I can't believe there isn't a better treatment out there. The stuff I pictured above doesn't seem to be worth a damn. Any idea what else could possibly be done vs. having them warrantied? I might have to call some body shops next week.
